Analytics and Website Usage Data

Information Collected

We use analytics to provide insight into how visitors interact with our site and enhance our user experience. Our web provider, Squarespace, collects and processes data to help us do so. Information collected includes details about your use of the website, including: page visits, referrers (traffic sources), timestamps, bounce rates, exit rates, clicks, internal links, and terms searched within our site. Other information collected includes: browser version, operating system, device type, and an estimate of the total number of visitors our site has had. IP addresses may also be collected for security and to determine the general geographic location of our visitors.

Data Retention

Detailed visitor information, including referrers, timestamps, IP addresses, browser versions, and operating systems are retained by Squarespace’s Activity Log for seven days. Aggregated data is retained for a longer period.

Security Measures

Squarespace uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) to help ensure data is encrypted and securely transmitted when users interact with our site. Additionally, access to website analytics is restricted to one authorized member of our administrative team and further protected by authentication measures. Analytics data is solely shared internally within Palm Springs Welding, Inc. to help guide website and business decisions.
